Complete IELTS Test Report Form (TRF)

The official IELTS Test Report Form (TRF) is issued to all individuals who have taken the IELTS exam. This TRF serves as a certification detailing your performance, represented as band scores ranging from band 0 to band 9, with each band denoting a specific level of proficiency in the English language. Your TRF includes an overall band score, along with individual scores for each of the four test skills: Listening, Reading, Writing, or Speaking.

Your IELTS One Skill Retake Test Report Form (TRF)

IELTS One Skill Retake is for those individuals who may not have demonstrated their full potential in a specific skill during their initial test or simply want to do better in a specific skill. IELTS One Skill Retakeoffers you the opportunity to retake any one of the four components of the English language test (Listening, Reading, Writing, or Speaking).

Upon completion of the IELTS One Skill Retake, you will be issued another official IELTS Test Report Form (TRF). This new TRF will include your updated score for the specific skill you retake, along with the results for the other three skills from your original test. You can make the most of this chance to improve your English proficiency and achieve your desired IELTS score!

How to use your IELTS One Skill Retake Test Report Form (TRF)?

It's important to note that your original TRF will remain valid even after you receive the TRF for your IELTS One Skill Retake (OSR). This means you will have two distinct test report forms:

  • One reflecting your initial scores

  • The other displays the new scores obtained through your OSR

The choice of which TRF to use is entirely up to you.

*For organisations or entities requesting your IELTS results, please ensure that they accept IELTS One Skill Retake. For any inquiries or clarifications, organisations can get in touch with IELTS.

How can use your IELTS OSR results in different ways?

You can use your IELTS One Skill Retake result in several ways:

Academic or professional advancement: If you were initially unsatisfied with your performance in a specific skill, such as Writing or Speaking, and you've improved your score through the One Skill Retake, you can use this enhanced score for academic admissions or career opportunities that require specific language proficiency levels.

Meeting visa requirements: Some countries and immigration programs have language proficiency requirements for visa applications. A higher score obtained through the One Skill Retake can help you meet these requirements and enhance your chances of securing a visa.

University admissions: If you are applying to universities where English language proficiency is a prerequisite, a better score in the specific skill you retake can strengthen your application and increase your chances of admission.

Job applications: Certain job positions, especially those that involve communication or writing skills, may require a minimum level of language proficiency. A higher score from the One Skill Retake can make your job application more competitive.

Personal satisfaction: Beyond practical uses, an improved score through the One Skill Retake can boost your confidence and satisfaction with your language skills, motivating you to further develop your English proficiency.

Knowing what to do with your test scores can help you do really well and reach your goals for studying, moving to a new place, or having a good job.
